In my work as a clinical psychologist, I focus on therapy for emotional and mental issues. I use modern techniques for relatively rapid and lasting resolution of limiting feelings, thoughts and bodily experiences. My services qualify for reimbursement by Medical Aid Societies, if the particular plan allows, and if you have funds available. The processes I use are chosen to meet the client's needs and preferences. I have had supervised training in advanced hypnotherapy, which assists me even if I do not use formal hypnosis with a client. I have also been trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is one of the prime techniques used globally for treating forms of trauma. According to research literature it is on a par with Cognitive Behavior Therapy, which has much popularity in South Africa. People from all walks of life are welcome and I have a wide range of experience in dealing with a variety of issues, from anxiety, depression, mood instability, addictions, eating disorders, learning difficulties, to longstanding or recent traumas, completion of bereavement processes, couple's communication issues etc. I also run workshops on such issues as dealing with stress and "trauma-proofing" a company, as I feel prevention and empowering ordinary people is more important than just treating them after serious incidents have happened.
