We are a montessori school, with influences from Reggio Emilia in our play time, and we incorporate plenty of sensory play which is beneficial for children with sensory processing disorder, and without. We accept children from 18 months to 5 years old. Half day only 7:30am to 12pm. Individual learning paced. Small teacher pupil ratio. Our mission is to create a rich and meaningful first school experience for young children and their families. We believe that learning occurs in relationship with others, and that young children learn best through play, encounters with interesting materials in engaging environments, opportunities for creative expressions, time for questioning and conversation, and imagination. These ideas are at the heart of our approach to education because we believe that schools embracing this theory of learning have the most positive influence on children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
